FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between epoxy and polyaspartic garage floor coatings?
Epoxy coatings are durable and chemically resistant at a lower cost, but take longer to cure, are more sensitive to temperature during installation and are not UV stable. Polyaspartic and polyurea coatings cure much faster, resist UV yellowing, and perform well across a wider temperature range. Fulton Coatings installs both systems and recommends the right fit based on how the floor will be used.
How long does a garage floor coating take to install and cure?
Most residential garage floor projects take one to three days to install, depending on surface prep (grinding, crack repair, moisture testing) and the number of coats applied. Floors are typically ready for light foot traffic within 24 hours. Full cure for vehicle traffic ranges from about 24 hours for polyaspartic and polyurea systems to several days for epoxy systems.
What flooring systems do you install for industrial and warehouse facilities?
Fulton Coatings installs resinous and fluid-applied flooring systems for industrial, warehouse, and manufacturing environments, including epoxy, polyurea, and urethane cement systems from Dur-A-Flex, Tnemec, Key Resin, Sika, Duraamen, Elitecrete, Res-Tek, Euclid, Diamapro, and FirmeCrete. The system is selected based on each facility's chemical exposure, traffic load, and moisture conditions.
Can you repair or recoat existing damaged industrial flooring?
Yes. Fulton Coatings repairs and recoats existing industrial and commercial flooring, including surface grinding, crack and joint repair, and moisture mitigation, before applying a new coating system. This process is managed to minimize facility downtime.
What coatings do you use for chemical resistance, food-grade, or high-traffic environments?
Fulton Coatings installs urethane cement systems, including Key Resin and Duraamen products, for food and beverage production areas that require thermal shock resistance and USDA-compliant, easy-to-sanitize surfaces. For chemical resistance and heavy forklift or foot traffic in warehouse and manufacturing settings, Fulton Coatings installs high-build epoxy and polyurea systems.
Are you licensed to bid commercial and industrial projects in Mississippi, Alabama, and Louisiana?
Yes. Fulton Coatings, operating as Fulton Construction LLC, holds contractor licenses in Mississippi (MS 20920-SC), Alabama (AL S-56208), and Louisiana (LA 72264), and pursues additional state licensing as project requirements dictate.
